Online Psychotherapy
Everyone goes through difficult times at some point in their life. We always do our best but sometimes going through it alone is overwhelming. Having support from a mental health professional can help you in your journey towards well-being.
About me
Vann-Vateil Phlek
I am a psychologist registered with the Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ). I help adults and couples facing psychological and emotional difficulties in various areas.
I have been trained in emotion focused therapy (EFT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), as well as integrative therapy. I am also familiar with psychodynamic therapy and the one-at-a-time (OAAT) session approach. I use them interchangeably according to your needs.
I acknowledge that seeking professional help is not always easy and I want you to know that it is very brave of you. I welcome people of all communities and backgrounds and wish to create a space where you feel safe and comfortable to express yourself in order to help you achieve your goals.
I look forward to meeting you and accompany you through your journey!

What are the payment methods?Payments are primarily made by Interac e-transfer. If the client experiences temporary banking difficulties, we accept payment by credit card as an interim solution.
-
How does payment and billing with insurance work?We do not offer direct billing to insurance companies. The client pays for the session and receives a receipt, which they can then submit to their insurance company for reimbursement. Typically, insurance that covers psychotherapy services covers services provided by psychologists. However, we always advise to confirm with your insurance company beforehand.

What happens if I have an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that pays for my sessions? We accept EAPs as third party payors when they meet the following conditions: 1) The EAP either covers the full cost of the session fee or the client is allowed to pay the difference. 2) Clients are allowed to continue sessions at their own expense after exhausting their EAP coverage. 3) The EAP does not require any information other than invoices.

Can my parents call to make an appointment for me?Parents can contact us for general information. However, if the child is an adult, they must contact us themselves to make an appointment. We limit the collection of information from parents regarding the reason for consultation, preferring that this information comes directly from the client. The same goes for someone calling on behalf of a friend/partner/family member, etc.

Someone I know is currently or has been a client of Dre Phlek, is that okay ?Unfortunately, due to conflict of interest, the psychologist cannot accept new clients who are acquaintances of current or past clients.
